Sterling sidelined for up to two months

Following a groin injury sustained in last weekend’s 1-0 home defeat at the hands of local rivals Manchester United, it has been confirmed that Raheem Sterling‘s groin issue is worse than first feared. The talented 21-year-old winger, who has scored 11, assisted 10 and created 49 clear-cut chances in both the Premier League and Champions League competitions this term, could be sidelined for the remainder of the current campaign.

This news comes as another blow to the Citizens’, following first-choice goalkeeper Joe Hart‘s calf injury – also sustained in their Manchester Derby loss against Louis van Gaal‘s men at the Ethiad.
